Walter Bonner Gash: The Artist’s Daughter Remembers

Margaret Gash recorded the interview in this film in February 2011, in preparation for exhibitions of her father’s work, the artist Walter Bonner Gash, at two exhibitions which took place in Gallery 27, 27 Cork Street, London W1S 4NG, 8-12 February, and in Manor House Museum and Alfred East Gallery, Kettering Borough Council, Sheep Street, Kettering, Northants NN16 0AN, 19 February-2 April. The film played at both exhibitions for visitors.

As a young girl Margaret often featured in her father’s paintings and was often required to model for him. Having studied art and later becoming an art teacher, Margaret had a great understanding of art and, having lived with her father’s paintings as constant companions, she is the ideal person to talk about his work.
